Manyika is described by Larkin as providing “organic support” for live extravaganzas organized by Botany 500 in the UK. He was also listed in the book as a drummer on Hope and Despair (Edwyn Collins’ debut solo album, released on Demon Records in 1989). Manyika was also a backing vocalist, percussionist, and toured with Paul Weller (released by Go! Discs Records, 1992.
