Yuksek Biography

Yuksek is one of the most popular and richest Disc Jockey who was born on June 3, 1977 in Reims, Grand Est, France. Pierre-Alexandre Busson, better known as Yuksek (born 3 June 1977), is a French producer, remixer and singer of electronic music. Yuksek means “high” in Turkish.

Yuksek collaborates with The Magician, aka Stephane Fassano (ex-member of Aeroplane), since 2011. The first song, “Twist”, was recorded by Yuksek and The Magician. It was released on Kitsune’s Kitsune Maison Compilation 11: “The Indie Dance Issue” on May 26, 2011.

After touring for 2 years, Yuksek released his second album, Living on the Edge of Time, on June 13, 2011. This album – like the debut single “On a Train” – took a pop direction while retaining Yuksek’s electronic flow.

In April 2013, Yuksek launched his own label, Partyfine. The first EP, EP#1 was released May 13, 2013. It includes featurings with Juveniles and Oh Land. The second one, with Peter & The Magician, was released June 24, 2013 and is titled On My Brain.

Yuksek, who is also a friend of Brodinski and a French DJ from Reims, is a long-time friend. The musical collaboration between Yuksek, Brodinski and French producer Brodinski is called the Krays. Their debut EP, We’re Ready when You Are, was released May 17, 2010. (Abracada).

In 2002, Yuksek created his first tracks and began to DJ around the globe. His first EPs and remixes were also released on labels like Relish and I’m a Cliche as well as Exploited, Kitsune and Citizen.

On February 9, 2009, his debut album, Away from the Sea was released. This album, which featured the singles Extraball and Tonight, received much media attention. He was even interviewed on Le Grand Journal, a French premium TV channel Canal+. The show’s January 2009 soundtrack featured Tonight. Extraball, his song, was used in the commercials for Airness “Attraction” and Lacoste Red! 2009 collection. He also sang Tonight for the Peugeot commercial, “Alchemy”, which was part of a major brand revival. It was broadcast on French TV in January 2010.

In December 2011, Yuksek played the renowned New Year Rhythm and Vines festival in Gisborne, New Zealand, then headed to the Field Day music festival in Sydney, Australia on New Year’s Day 2012.
