Yoshihiro Nishimura Biography

Yoshihiro Nishimura is one of the most popular and richest Film Director who was born on April 1, 1967 in Taitung City, Taitung, Taiwan. Nishimura was born April 1, 1967. He had always been interested in film since childhood. However, a Salvador Dali painting with distorted human bodies, which he saw in elementary school, was a significant influence on his career. In college, he majored in law. Nishimura stated that he doesn’t watch much TV or movies, but rather reads horror magazines and draws inspiration from his dreams.

He did the makeup on Samurai Princess, also known as Samurai Princess: Devil Princess, for director Kengo Kumatsu and also worked on Kosuke Suzuki’s Stop the Bitch Campaign. Nishimura teamed up with Naoyuki Tomomatsu to direct Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl in 2009. Taku Sakaguchi, a former collaborator of Nishimura’s on Tokyo Gore Police, and Meatball Machine, was the fight choreographer. The film premiered in the world at the New York Asian Film Festival June 26. It was also shown in Japan on August 15.

Nishimura started his own effects company based in Tokyo, Nishimura Eizo Co., Ltd. Partnering with visual effects company Studio Buckhorn and Studio HigeMigane in 2010, it became part of Pabaan: The Image Production Group.

In 2011, Nishimura directed the “Killer” music video for Osaka rock band The 50 Kaitenz (ザ５０回転ズ , The 50 Kaitenz) .

In 2008, Nishimura was again working with NoboruIguchi as a special effects and makeup artist for The Machine Girl. After he had finished The Machine Girl, Media Blasters (the USA distributors) asked him if he would like to make another movie. He decided to re-make his 1995 short film Anatomia Extinction and create the horror science fiction movie Tokyo Gore Police. Nishimura was the director, screenwriter, modeler, special make-up and modeling of the movie. He also had a small role. Nishimura stated that he couldn’t take as many naps as he used to when he was only focusing on special effects.

In junior high school, he began making films by learning about lighting, modeling, and special effects. He produced the independent movie Anatomia Extinction in 1995 with a small team. Nishimura directed the film and wrote the screenplay.
