Tzalash’s death did not stop Paritzky from achieving two of his goals. In January 2006, Poraz lost in Shinui’s primary election. Paritzky said that Poraz and Tommy Lapid should have been “sent home long ago”. Also, both Poraz’s new party Hetz and Shinui failed to win any seats in the elections.
Paritzky was forced to resign from his Government position in July 2004 due to Tommy Lapid’s demand. Paritzky and Lapid had been in a long, bitter dispute. Paritzky was recorded apparently trying to capture Avraham Poraz (the party’s deputy leader) in wrongdoings. Tapes of Paritzky were released. The police investigated Paritzky’s actions but did not bring charges as the Attorney General and police found no evidence of criminal acts.

However, the Knesset House Committee refused this attempt and allowed him to retain his seat. Paritzky then announced that he was forming his own party, Tzalash, and would run in the 2006 elections, saying his goal was for Shinui “not to attain the minimum number of votes needed to get into the Knesset”. Although it was possible for the faction to receive 600,000 shekels in electoral funding, Tzalash did not participate in the 2006 elections.
