In 2011, Douchez joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer from Rennes. He was awarded the number one jersey for the forthcoming season. While he was initially believed to be the starting goalie but this was changed after the new management. The club enlisted Salvatore Sirigu, who instead became the team’s goalkeeper of choice.
