In 2003, a striker who was just starting out scored two goals for Zanaco in their win over Roan United with a 2-1 win in a Week 13 match. These were the first goals for Zanaco in a week 13 game. This young forward was Winstone Kalengo. The two goals were his debut goals during the ZSL. Winston was able to score nine goals during the 2003 season, as an unproven striker and was competing from the top name Zanaco strikers Rotson Kilambe Edward Kangwa and Cosmas Banda.

He surprisingly he did not get much of a run in 2005 and didn’t score a goal though he still ended up a champion as Zanaco ran out winners of the Primera Division de Zambia.
