Tonga was a centre player during the Bulldogs’ 32-39 defeat. Tonga was also selected for the Australian team for this year’s Tri-Nations series, which made his debut season in the NRL an impressive success. Villiami Sione “Willie” Tonga (born 8 August 1983) is also known by the name “Little Willie”, is an Australian former professional footballer from the rugby league. He most recently played with the Leigh Centurions in the Super League. A member of the Australia international player as well as a Queensland State of Origin representative center, he was a player for Paramatta Eels, the Bulldogs who was the winner of the 2004 NRL Premiership, and the North Queensland Cowboys. He signed with French Club The Catalans Dragons in 2015 and signed an agreement to the Centurions for the 2016 season.
