William McLachlan (born 19 March 1989) is an Scottish footballer who is a player at Irvine Meadow in the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region. He previously played for the Scottish Football League First Division for Airdrie United and for Australian club Melbourne Knights in the Victorian Premier League.
McLachlan made the move to the game in Australia in the month of March in 2013, beginning playing with Bulleen Lions before joining Melbourne Knights in July of the same year.
When Clyde was relegated into Division Three in 2010, McLachlan refused to sign a contract with Clyde and was released. He joined junior club Lanark United and moved on to Kirkintilloch Rob Roy in 2011.

McLachlan started his professional career with Rangers and was a part of his Scotland U-16 side in an Victory Shield match against Northern Ireland in October 2004. In December 2008 McLachlan was signed by Airdrie United on loan. His debut came with St Johnstone on 20 December. McLachlan was involved in 24 games throughout the entire season, with five in Scotland First Division Play- offs. McLachlan was released from Rangers at the close of the season.
McLachlan played as an experimenter for Clyde during their two opening league matches with Peterhead in August 2009 and Stirling Albion in August 2009. He also made an appearance against Dumbarton the following week and scored a long-range free-kick during a draw of 3-3. He signed a one year contract for Clyde in September of 2009.
