Boland’s radio broadcasts are heard from 9am to midday (10am-midday outside of Brisbane) in the Saturdays, and at 10am to midday on Sundays. Warren’s contract with 612ABC not renewed by the end of 2013, and he was removed from the lineup.

Famous for his sharp humor, Boland played “Pete the French Polisher” on the ABC-TV show Club Buggery in the mid-1990s. Boland is also known for his famous moustache.

A broken leg that was sustained during the 1981 preseason left many question whether his career was ended, but he was able to return to the first grade in late July. He was once again captaining the team in the semi-finals of 1982, after which he resigned in 1983, at the aged of just 28. He was later named captain and winger for the Western Suburbs Magpies Team of the Eighties.

Boland has won the Under-23s Premiership in the club of St George before travelling overseas in 1975. After his return to Australia Boland signed with the Balmain Tigers and was a part of the Tigers Amco Cup winning team in the year 1976. In 1979, he was a part of five seasons for the Western Suburbs Magpies. He was often captain of the team in his wing position and was also during the 1980 semi-finals.
