He was on three National Hockey League (NHL) teams throughout his playing career The teams were The Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild and the New York Islanders.
Dubielewicz made his debut during the 2006-2007 season with the New York Islanders on March 15, 2007 replacing Mike Dunham. In regular time, Dubielewicz played the Islanders the final five games with a score of 4-1-1. On April 8 of 2007, during the last game in the match against New Jersey Devils New Jersey Devils, after Dubielewicz conceded the goal within .7 seconds remaining on the clock, he was able in the final minute to stop Devils during the shootout. the 3-2 win to propel players of the Islanders into the playoffs with the eighth seed disqualifying all Toronto Maple Leafs from playoff competition.
Dubielewicz became a free agent in July 2009 and he signed a contract with the Minnesota Wild on July 17. The Wild have two other goalies with NHL experience and he was signed to improve the depth at the position.
Dubielewicz last played in Germany, having signed with the Kölner Haie on September 30, 2010.
Dubielewicz made his postseason debut on the 12th of April 2007, in a road Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarter-finals against the Buffalo Sabres. He was able to concede the team to score four times on just 35 chances in a loss of 4-1 that gave the Sabres an early lead in the series. His co-player Rick DiPietro would get the starting goalie position in game two, following recuperating of an injury.

Dubielewicz was a player at Dubielewicz played at the University of Denver and as an undergrad in 2001-2002, he helped lead his squad to an NCAA tournament. He declined an offer of a million dollars plus NHL offer to remain in Denver during his senior year and to finish his education. Prior to signing with Denver and the NHL, he was a member of junior A Fernie Ghostriders of the now dormant RMJHL which was based in Fernie, British Columbia. He was a Junior B player for the Columbia Valley Rockies of the KIJHL in Invermere, British Columbia, and later on Trail of the BCHL in 1998-99. After playing goal during four seasons at the University of Denver, Dubielewicz was appointed an undrafted independent to the New York Islanders on May 26th the 26th of May, 2003. Dubielewicz joined in the Islanders’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate known as known as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, where they became a popular fan in the Arena at Harbor Yard, home of the Tigers. “Dubie” holds numerous AHL league records that are still in force until 2009. The Sound Tigers and AHL hold records for shutouts with the highest number (15) as well as wins (81) throughout his career as well as the most saving percent (.946) as well as goals-against average (1.38) during a single year (during his 2003-2004 AHL season) surpassing the records set by Rick DiPietro. Dubielewicz was awarded the Dudley “Red” Garrett Memorial Award as the best player in the AHL in 2003-04.
The Islanders re-signed Dubielewicz to a one-year contract worth $500,000 for the 2007–2008 season. After the season, on June 1, 2008, Newsday reported that Dubielewicz declined the two-way contract extension they offered, as he believed that he’d be assigned to the AHL, as Joey MacDonald had a one-way deal. Dubielewicz previously voiced a desire to remain an Islander and called himself “an Islander at heart”.[1] He signed instead with Ak Bars of the Kontinental Hockey League.
