Vladimir (Volodya, Volodja) Pimonov (Russian: Vladimir (Volodia) Ivanovich Pimonov 31 March 1955 Moscow, USSR) is Russian-born Danish journalist writer, poet and scholar. As a journalist, he is most famous as an investigative journalist of Russian and Soviet affairs. His research in literature is focused on Shakespeare and plot (narrative) theory and the concept that theatricality (metatheatre). His work is available in over 100 major libraries, both university and public, across the globe.

In the latter part of the 1970s and into the early 1980s in Moscow along with his academic activities, Pimonov was a journalist for the 64-Chess Review publication (64 (magazine)). He quit his home in the Soviet Union in 1988 and relocated to Denmark in the country where he worked for a daily newspaper of national significance Ekstra Bladet in Copenhagen for more than two decades.
