Vladimir Koval (Ukrainian: Volodimir Romanovich Koval (born on 28 February 1975.) is an Ukrainian former professional footballer and founder of FC Ukraine United of the Canadian Soccer League.

In 2007 Koval together with Evgen Ishchak, as well as Andrei Malychenkov founded FC Ukraine United in order to combine and accommodate talents that came from former Soviet Union located in Canada. The team initially was a part of the indoor league within the Soccer City, and ultimately joined in the Ontario Soccer League. In the beginning, he was the general manager as well as vice president. He also played occasionally as a soccer player. The club was able to earn numerous awards, and also secure an upgrade into the Premier Central Division.

The year 1999 saw him made his return in 1999 to Toronto Croatia and made his return on the 7th of June 1999 in a match against St. Catharines Wolves. The following season , he joined North York Astros. He played with Croatia in his season of 2001. season.In 2007 was a player for the Ontario Soccer League for FC Ukraine United.

As a player, Koval started the professional path in Ukraine and later moved from there to Canada in the late 1990s. While abroad, he participated in the Canadian National Soccer League (CNSL) particularly playing with Toronto Italia, and Toronto Croatia. He continued to play in CNSL’s successor league , the Canadian Professional Soccer League until 2001, playing with Toronto Croatia. 2007 was the year he founded FC Ukraine United, and played for the Ontario Soccer League. After securing the required capital in 2016, the team got a licence with the Canadian Soccer League.

Koval was a student at the Karpaty Lviv Soccer Academy and began his professional career with FC Hazovyk Komarno in the Ukrainian Second League. In 1995, he travelled for Canada to play for Toronto Italia in the Canadian National Soccer League. The following year, he joined Toronto Croatia and played in the Canadian International Soccer League (Puma League). He also was a player in The Mississauga Eagles P.S.C. in the Canadian Professional Soccer League. His debut with this club in May, 1998, against York Region Shooters.

In 2016, the club acquired the necessary funds in order to apply for a franchise in the Canadian Soccer League.The club successfully made the transition to the professional level after receiving approval from the league ownership at the annual general meeting of team owners.In 2018, he served in the capacity of an assistant coach to Malychenkov. Since the club’s entry into the professional realm the team has secured the First Division title in 2018, and the Second Division championship in 2017.
