Lipiridis was part of the senior male Greek nation’s basketball squad, which placed 6th during the 1990 FIBA World Championship. He also participated in EuroBasket 1991. EuroBasket 1991.
He also participated in three successive EuroLeague final Fours in the FIBA European Champions Cup: Ghent 1988, Munich 1989, and Zaragoza 1990. When he was in the tournament, Aris joined the elite of European basketball clubs, however, an international title didn’t arrive to Lipiridis for a long time around 1993. The team took home the 2nd-tier the FIBA Cup Winners’ Cup in Torino.
