Fernando von Arb or simply FVA (born on 17th January 1953) is a Swiss musician, songwriter and producer from Switzerland. He is most well- known as the guitarist in Krokus, a Swiss hard rock group, Krokus.

The year 2005 saw Von Arb temporarily left Krokus due to tendonitis that afflicted his wrist. He was to become replaced Mandy Meyer. But, in 2007, he come back and managed to join the four principal members of Krokus’s original lineup (featuring Storace, him Von Rohr, Storace Freddy Steady). In 2008, the band’s main rhythm guitarist for a large portion in their “classic lineup days,” Mark Kohler, had also returned to the group, significant in the band’s history and the quintet performed a number of live performances. In the year 2010, Krokus released the album Hoodoo.

The year 1994 came around when Von Arb again tried to construct Krokus. He succeeded, with the former singer Marc Storace rejoining the lineup. The decision to not keep Storace in 1999 was an issue. The Round 13 album was made available however, it was not as well-known. The year 2004 saw Von Arb and Storace came back together with the release of live album which proved to be a benefit that Storace was a part of the group.

In the beginning of the 1970s, Von Arb was playing in the group Montezuma in the early 1970s when he was enlisted from Chris von Rohr and Tommy Kiefer to join their group, Krokus. He joined the band at the time of their second album To You All, as the drummer. The 1970s were when Von Arb undertook the task of finding a strong voice to lead the band but was unable to find a solution until he found the Maltese-born Marc Storace to lead his band’s vocals for a long time to be. Even though Von Arb and Storace have split for a few albums, they’re together in Krokus until today. At some time, Storace and Von Rohr left the group and left Von Arb to create another group with former Krokus members Juerg Naegeli. They adopted pseudonyms, which included Rob Weiss and Ben Branov (Branov is pronounced von Arb in reverse) They recorded a couple of albums that became popular in Switzerland.

At the time of his death in 1990 Von Arb assembled another lineup for Krokus and was ignored and neglected. In the same year, Von Arb became ill and was later diagnosed with a fears that he could be diagnosed with lymphoma. However the fact is that he’s now in good health.

Von Arb and Krokus released Dirty Dynamite on March 5, 2013, with minor success in the US, but a major hit in Switzerland. It contains a cover of The Beatles’ hit song “Help!”.
