On the night of 1993 Onli led the initial Black Age of Comics convention at the Southside Community Arts Center in Chicago in 1993, where it was held for three years in a row. Between 1984 and 1989, Onli was an art therapist to youngsters at the Chicago’s Robert Taylor Homes.
