After the conclusion of his junior year with the Pioneers during the 2017-18 season and after having continued to boost his scoring output for the third consecutive season with 48 points across 39 matches, Terry concluded his collegiate career by signing an entry-level three-year agreement for the Anaheim Ducks on March 27 in the 27th of March. Terry was named NCHC athlete of the month and was also selected as being a First-Team All-West All- American.
Terry was chosen to compete for the United States at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
