Troy Snyder (born November 24 1965, in Reading, Pennsylvania) is a former U.S. soccer player who is second in the high school record-setting list of career scorers with scores of 208 goals and 117 assists. He played the majority of his time playing indoor soccer but also took home an outdoor championship as a member of the San Diego Nomads. Snyder had five caps for his U.S. national team between 1985 between 1985 and 1991, as well as another nine caps with the U.S. National Futsal Team. In 1983 Snyder was a member of the U.S. team at the U-20 World Championship.

As of 1992 Snyder was released from the Sidekicks and relocated to join the Washington Warthogs of the Continental Indoor Soccer League (CISL). He was awarded one of the CISL Defender of the year for the 1996-1997 season. But the Warthogs and league disbanded after the conclusion of that season, and Snyder was transferred into his new team, the Baltimore Bays of the USISL. The 1997-98 indoor USISL season with the Bays winning the league championship, but the team disbanded. He later joined his new club, the Baltimore Blast of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL).

The year 1987 was the time that Snyder became a professional midfielder with the San Diego Nomads of the Western Soccer Alliance (WSA). The Nomads claimed the WSA title after winning 3-1 against the San Jose Earthquakes. The following winter He signed with the Minnesota Strikers of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). The Strikers were disbanded at the conclusion of the 1987-88 season. After being cut from the club, Snyder signed with the Dallas Sidekicks as a free agent. He would later play four seasons , and nearly 210 games with Dallas. In addition to his time with Dallas, Snyder spent the 1989 outdoor season with the Maryland Bays of the American Soccer League.
