Rajive Kumar, born 28 June 1958, is a retired officer from the 1981 batch of Indian Administrative Service (IAS). He belonged to the Uttar Pradesh cadre. Kumar currently serves as chairperson of Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority. He was previously the Chief Secretary of Government of Uttar Pradesh and also served as Shipping Secretary of India.

Kumar was resigned as chief secretary and simultaneously superannuated. He served in Uttar Pradesh’s highest bureaucrat for over a year before being succeeded by Anup Chandra Panday. Kumar’s tenure was generally regarded as successful.

Kumar, who had retired from the Indian Administrative Service in August 2018, was nominated by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to be the first chairperson of Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority. (UP RERA). Kumar was sworn in as chairperson of UP RERA on 9 August 2018 by Ram Naik, the Uttar Pradesh governor.
