Timon Gremmels (born January 4 1976, in Marburg) is an German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who has served as a member of the Bundestag which is the German parliament, since the year 2017.

In November of 2016, Gremmels was nominated as SPD candidate for the Kassel constituency. The constituency was chosen to the Bundestag in the general election in which he won 35.5 percent of the initial vote for his constituent. He was then elected in the 19th Bundestag as a direct-elected parliamentarian.

Gremmels was a member of the Landtag of Hesse from November 1st, 2009 through October 31st 2017. In the beginning, he was an alternative MP to Ulrike Gottschalk. In the state elections of 2013, he was able to defend directly the mandate for the SPD at Kassel with the best first-time result of 47.6 percent. In the past, he was as the spokesman of his parliamentary group on energy issues and was the deputy chairman of the Hessian SPD parliamentarian group. From 2001 to 2013 Gremmels was an elected part of Niestetal’s municipal council for his hometown of Niestetal and, in addition to other duties, vice chairman for the city’s local SPD parlamentar group. In 2001 Gremmels was a part of the county council of Kassel (Landkreis Kassel).
