Timothy Joseph Leiper (born July 19th 1966) is an American professional manager and baseball coach. The first-base coach for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball from 2014 to the year 2018.

In the past, as an offseason resident in Ottawa, Leiper has also been a coach for the 2004 Canadian Olympic team, and Canada’s 2006, 2009. and the 2013 World Baseball Classic squads. Leiper was also member of the Baseball Canada staff that won bronze medals in both the 2011 and 2008 Baseball World Cups and the gold medal from the 2010 Pan-American Games.

Outside of North America, Leiper played for Caneros de Los Mochis of the Mexican Pacific Winter League in 1993, as well as Aguilas Cibaenas in 1996 in which his team took home the Dominican Professional Baseball League championship. In 1999 and 2000, he was a coach in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League. Leiper was then a part-time manager for four seasons within the Pittsburgh Pirates’ system, including three seasons as the manager of their Double-A Altoona Curve, before joining the Florida Marlins in 2009. He also helmed his team, the Jacksonville Suns, the Marlins Double-A affiliate. In that role, they won winning the Southern League championship. Then, he was the Marlins the Minor league defensive coordinator on the move in the years 2011 and 2012.
