According to a December 2014 article in The Atlantic, Tequila Mockingbird has thus far sold over 100,000 copies.

Federle makes his debut as a musical theater co-librettist in 2016 with the Broadway adaptation of Natalie Babbitt’s Tuck Everlasting, titled Tuck Everlasting. Following a pre-Broadway tryout at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, the musical began its Broadway engagement at the Broadhurst Theatre in March 2016.
