He was 2nd in the LMP2 class at the championship of 2017 World Endurance Championship along with his teammates Ho-Pin Tung and Oliver Jarvis, driving for Jackie Chan DC Racing.
Laurent is in an unresolved agreement issue in his contract with DC Racing, because he signed with Rebellion Racing. In spite of this, he and Harrison Newey and Stephane Richelmi claimed the title in 2017-18 Asian Le Mans Series title in the LMP2 category. He was given the green light to compete for Rebellion in the 2018-19 FIA World Endurance Championship, driving the Rebellion R13 car alongside Mathias Beche and Gustavo Menezes. He won his very first LMP1 race on the podium, ahead of two hybrid Toyotas.He will be part of in the Signatech Alpine team in the next season.
Laurent was a racer during the 2015 European Le Mans Championship in LMP3 for YMR in a Ligier JS P3 alongside Alexandre Cougnaud and Yann Ehrlacher. He placed 8th overall despite three retirements and won victory in the final race at Estoril. He also raced in his first Road To Le Mans race in that year to compete in DC racing, along with Cougnaud. Laurent was the driver at the front and was able to pull away to win the race.

In Le Roche sur Yon, Laurent left Karting at the age of 17 in late 2015. He raced in three of the four rounds of the in the 2015-16 Asian Le Mans Series with Jackie Chan DC Racing alongside Ho-Pin Tung and David Cheng. They both won the three races, however Laurent was ranked only 2nd in championship because Tung and Cheng took the first round without Laurent, leaving Laurent with a deficit of 25 points.
Laurent was back in his home circuit of the Asian Le Mans Series for the 2016-17 season. He competed in LMP2 in the 2016-17 season, this time as a driver for DC Racing alongside Tung and Gustavo Menezes. He was not in the first race (which Tung and Menezes won in his absence) and they finished first and second on Fuji as well as Buriram respectively. The #35 car was left with an 18-point lead going into the last round. But they were unable to finish after the first crash and were stripped of the title. Laurent was seventh on the driver’s title.
In 2017 it was announced that Laurent would race in the World Endurance Championship in the LMP2 class. He is driving for Jackie Chan DC Racing in a Jota Sport run Oreca 07 alongside Tung and Oliver Jarvis.
