The album was said to took half a million dollars to make and garnered interest from the media, however, according to Bazar the album’s popularity was low because of a miscommunication with the record label, and the album was not available when it was due for its release. Today, Bazar describes the incident as one of the most difficult experiences of her career. However, she is highly regarded for the album, stating that it has “a strong pedigree”.

Bazar was a hit during her teens. She was she was a member of the 1970s band Guys ‘n’ Dolls who had a hit in 1975 in 1975 with “There’s A Whole Lot of Lovin'” and was later able to enjoy several chart successes that included “Here I Go Again On My Own” which was a composition written by the 17-year old Bazar. Unsatisfied with the direction of this group, she and her boyfriend as well as groupmate David Van Day left the group. When Bazar was later removed from the group in 1977, they formed Dollar at the end of 1977. The group’s hits started by releasing “Shooting Star” in 1978. They followed that with several major hit songs like “Love’s Gotta Hold on Me” in 1979, “Mirror Mirror” in 1981, and “Give Me Back My Heart” in 1982. Then they had “Oh L’amour” which hit the Top 10 across Europe in 1987.
She sang on her two Gary Numan songs, “Noise Noise” and “Bridge, What Bridge?” that were b-sides of the 1982 Top 20 single “Music for Chameleons”.
