Then, Theresa Rose decided to return to university and was accepted to Harvard University in the master’s degree program. She went on to earn the Ph.D. degree from the University of Maryland. While attending university, she became acquainted with the man she would marry, Michael Powell, Ph.D. who she wed on September 2nd 1989. Michael Powell is currently a senior vice president at Optum Health.
