Jerome Taymon Domzalski (born May 7 1977) is an American former professional basketball player. At 6 feet, 10 inches He played in the center as well as power forward throughout his college as well as professional career. He was the first and only scholarship athlete who has worked for Mike Krzyzewski. He was the first to also obtain an MD degree and eventually become an ophthalmologist.

Domzalski was a transferee Domzalski transferred to New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) in his senior year of High School. Attracted by the school, he rejected the offers of UCLA, Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas, among other schools, to go to Duke University. Apart from being named as a member of the Parade All-American and McDonald’s All-American basketball teams that included Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Chauncey Billups, Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, and Stephon Marbury, Domzalski graduated at the highest level from NMMI as well as being named 1995 Dial Award Winner as the best male student-athlete from the United States along with the best female student-athlete, Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller in the year 1995.

Domzalski was a player in Mike Krzyzewski’s Duke Blue Devils for four seasons and was named on the ACC All-Freshman team in his first year at Duke. Through his time at Duke Domzalski played alongside Shane Battier, Steve Wojciechowski, Jeff Capel, Nate James, Roshown McLeod, Elton Brand, Corey Maggette and was directed by Quin Snyder, Johnny Dawkins, and Tommy Amaker. His teams won the three ACC Championships as well as NCAA tournament berths each year and even the Elite Eight finish in 1998 and the Final Four Championship game in 1999. The coach described Domzalski in an after-game press conference after the game, Virginia the head coach Pete Gillen said: “Domzalski is fast, big and shoots well… Should Domzalski visited Virginia and we were to create a monument for his name right alongside Jefferson. It might not be as tall as Jefferson.”
