Rogers was summoned into the Major Leagues on the 13th of April 2016. He made his debut in the major leagues the following day. He was recalled by Rochester the 19th of April and was recalled back to Minnesota in May 17. Rogers was signed by The Twins when he made his pro debut during that season for The Elizabethton Twins and also played for the Beloit Snappers. Rogers began 2013 playing for The Cedar Rapids Kernels and was elevated to the Fort Myers Miracle during the season. In the 25 games played between the two teams and 24 of them were starting, Rogers was 11-7 with an 2.88 ERA. In 2014, he pitched in New Britain Rock Cats. New Britain Rock Cats where they posted an 11-6 mark with an 3.29 ERA in 24 games played. In 2015, the team was the Rochester Red Wings where he had an 11-12 record with an 3.98 ERA in 28 games (27 starts). It was announced that the Twins also added Rogers into their 40-man roster following the 2015 season. Rogers joined the Twins in 2016 as a player from Rochester.

Rogers was chosen to his team, the Baltimore Orioles in the 37th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft out of Chatfield Senior High School in Littleton, Colorado.
