Subhi was a member of his Brunei representative team from 2000 when he was called to replace a number of players who resigned immediately following being crowned the winner of at the 1999 Malaysia Cup. In 2005, when DPMM FC replaced his team in the Malaysia Premier League in 2005 He became a member of Wijaya FC for the 2005-06 Brunei Premier League. He was transferred to DPMM in 2006 and was able to earn promotions to the Malaysia Super League in his debut season, and finishing third the following season.
