In 1998 he was later elected as a member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Cavite (Provincial board member) of which he would serve two terms until he declined re-election in 2004. It was when he would be appointed by Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo to be one of the members of the PCSO board of directors in 2005.
