In the same month, he was awarded the Positive Image Award from the Free Speech Coalition for his efforts in helping “dispel the myths and misconceptions of the adult entertainment industry.” In April of 2013, St. Croix appeared with former pornographic actor Danny Wylde on the HuffPost Live panel to debate Measure B.

St. Croix first left the business in the latter part of 1990 to pursue acting in the mainstream. At the time the actor took classes with an acting coach, and also learned the art of improv from comedy troupe Groundlings. He also performed body-doubles on behalf of Brian Bosworth, was an extra in Baywatch and performed during music videos with Gloria Estefan and Jon Secada. After having to struggle to pay his expenses, he resorted to porn films as a performer.
St. Croix entered the adult film industry as an assistant producer at the end of December in 1992. As a production assistant for the movie Deep Throat 6, he did his first performance when an actor did not appear.
