Stefano Nava (born 19 February 1969) is a Italian soccer manager as well as a former player, who was a defensive player. He is most well-known as a player for A.C. Milan in the early 1990s. There, he played as a replacement for players like Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini, Mauro Tassotti and Alessandro Costacurta.

Following his time with Milan, Nava spent a season on loan at Padova as well as another at Servette in Switzerland which is the club from which he later transferred via a no-cost transfer. He then spent two seasons at Sampdoria before concluding his playing career with Pro Sesto in Serie C2 after the end in the season 2000-01.

He currently works as a football commentator and pundit for SKY Italia. In 2014, he was named as the new analyst for the Italian edition of EA Sports’ FIFA 15, alongside match commentator Pierluigi Pardo, replacing Giuseppe Bergomi.

Nava began his professional career in 1985 at Pro Sesto, before joining the Milan Youth Squad. In 1988 the year he made his professional debut Serie C1 with Virescit Boccaleone after which, in the following season, he joined Serie B club Reggiana.

He made his return to Milan in the year 1990, where the reserve was for the first team’s defence in the back of the once-famous Maldini, Baresi, Costacurta Tassotti’s back-line that is widely regarded by fans of the sport’s best and one of the best defensive lineups ever. It was the Milan debut on September 5, 1990, with the 1-1 home Coppa Italia win against Triestina in which Milan was able to make it to the semi-finals of the competition. The player made the Serie A debut with the club on March 3rd, 1991, with the 4-1 win at home against Napoli. In the four seasons of non-consecutive play in Milan (1990-91 under Arrigo Sacchi and 1992-95 under Fabio Capello), Nava made a total of 47 appearances across all competitions. He also made the 21 Serie A league appearances, scoring one goal. This was from Serie A. In his time at the club , he took home 2 Serie A titles, three Supercoppa Italiana titles, two UEFA Super Cups, an UEFA Champions League, and an Intercontinental Cup. The 1991-92 season was his only on loan at Parma and won the Coppa Italia. His last appearance for Milan came in the 5-0 win away against Brescia in the 1994-1995 Serie A season, on 5 March 1995.

Nava had a one-month spell as Pro Sesto head coach in January 2004, the team with which he began his career, and eventually retired. He later became the coach of Masseroni Marchese, helping with the Milan Youth Programme. During the 2011–12 season, he became the coach of the Milan Giovanissimi Nazionali Youth squad, and the following season, he worked alongside Filippo Inzaghi, who was the coach of the Milan Allievi Nazionali Youth Side. During the 2014–15 season, he was appointed the coach of the Milan Berretti Youth Side.
