Soumya Sarkar (Bengali: saumy srkaar) (born 25 February 1993) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. Sarkar is left-handed and a batsman and right-arm fast bowler. Sarkar is a player with his club, the Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League, Khulna Division in the National Cricket League, and Prime Bank Cricket Club in the Dhaka Premier Division. Sarkar was the very first Bangladeshi batsman to score 200 points during List A Cricket in Dhaka Premier Division 2019.

It was the One Day International debut for Bangladesh against Zimbabwe on the 1st of December, 2014. Soumya’s debut one-day international ton came against Pakistan at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

In October 2018, he was named in the squad for the Rajshahi Kings team, following the draft for the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League.

In November 2019, he was named in Bangladesh’s squad for the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh. He was adjudged player of the tournament. Later the same month, he was named in Bangladesh’s squad for the cricket tournament at the 2019 South Asian Games. The Bangladesh team won the gold medal, after they beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the final.

As of the month of November, he was named in Bangladesh’s T20 team for a single match with New Zealand, but did not make it into the final team. Sarkar was selected in the Bangladesh team for the host series in Zimbabwe Zimbabwe which culminated in his first ODI appearance of December 2014. He was then named in the 2015 World Cup in Australia-New Zealand.
