Marcos Pizzelli is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on October 3, 1984 in Piracicaba, Brazil. Marcos Pinheiro Pizzelli, pronounced [pit’tselli], Armenian: Markos Pinyro Pizzelli, was born on October 3, 1984. He is also known as Marcos.

He signed a contract in June 2011 with Metalurh Donetsk with his Pyunik teammate Gevorg Ghazaryan. Pizzelli scored his first goal for the Donetsk club. This goal was against Chornomorets Odea. Pizzelli found it more difficult to play in the championship at the higher level and was unable to score as much as in the Armenian Premier League. His difficulty scoring was due to Metalurh’s coach, who did not play as a striker but as an attacking midfielder.

In May 2013, Pizzelli agreed to join Kuban Krasnodar’s rivals FC Krasnodar on a two-year contract starting on 10 June 2013. After six months with Krasnodar, Pizzelli joined Kazakhstan Premier League side Aktobe on a season-long loan in January 2014.

On 11 October 2014, Pizzelli had a penalty saved by Serbia goalkeeper Vladimir Stojković in a UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying match, after which Zoran Tošić scored a late equaliser to give Serbia a 1–1 draw.

Six months later, Pizzelli’s contract was terminated by Ararat. In the summer 2009, Pizzelli accepted an offer from FC Yerevan Pyunik. He signed a long-term agreement in July. Pizzelli was playing for Pyunik and the club won both the 2009 Armenian Premier League (2009 Armenian Premier League) and the 2010 Armenian Premier League. They also won the 2009 Armenian Cup, 2010 Armenian Cup, and the 2010 Armenian Supercup. Marcos played his 100th match of the Premier League in Armenian Premier League history in the 10th round. Pizzelli, along with Armenian Gevorg Gazaryan, became the top goal scorer for the third consecutive season. They both scored 16 goals. Pizzelli scored six goals in the middle of 2011 Armenian Premier League. He was then transferred from Metalurh Donetsk.

From 2000 to 2005, he began his professional career as a youngster at Brazilian club Sao Carlos. An agent from Ararat Yerevan spotted the young talent and soon hired Pizzelli. His debut was made against Ulisses on the 30th April. Pizzelli, who was replacing Tigran Yesayan in the 58th minutes of the match, entered the field. Pizzelli’s first goal for Ararat came on the 16th of June, in another match against Ulisses. Pizzelli was a strong adaptor for the first season, while the second focused on scoring goals. Pizzelli, with his excellent performances, was the Armenian Premier League’s leading scorer twice with Ararat. In August 2009, Marcos played again for the Armenian team. He scored Armenia’s fourth goal against Andorra on 8 October 2010. This victory secured Armenia’s 42nd FIFA World Ranking. Pizzelli scored his second goal in an away match against Russia (1:3). Pizzelli scored his third goal in an away match against Andorra, which Armenia won 3-0. His fourth goal for Armenia was scored in match against Macedonia in which Armenia won 4-1. His first game in a double- gate match was against Team Canada on 29 February 2012. Pizzelli was controversially expelled in a qualifier for the 2014 World Cup against Bulgaria on 11 September 2012.

In January 2012, Pizzelli joined Kuban Krasnodar. In 2011, in a match between Russia and Armenia, the head coach of Team Kuban Dan Petrescu spotted Pizzelli and was interested in the player. After a long observation of the game of Pizzelli, Petrescu agreed to acquire the player. On 13 January, they signed a contract for three years. On 18 March, Pizzelli scored the first goal in the Russian Premier League and brought Kuban the win over Rubin Kazan. Pizzelli was voted player of the month for Kuban a second time in May 2012.
