He was a member in the Malaysian both in 2015 and the 2015 BWF World Junior Championships team and helped Malaysia to win the silver medal in the mixed team, only to be defeat by China in the 2016. The son is the former Malaysian badminton star Soh Goon Chup. His grandfather is Soo Beng Kiang and he was part of the team along with Cheah Soon Kit assist Malaysia to win in 1992 the Thomas Cup. Soh as well as his partner Aaron Chia were the All England Open finalist as well as The Southeast Asian Games gold medalist in the year 2019.

Soh had injuries and could not increase his performance at his 2015 World Junior Championships. However, he nevertheless selected for the national team following the tournament.
