Since her national team debut with a 6-3 victory against England during March of 2002 Lundgren played alongside Caroline Jonsson, Hedvig Lindahl and then Kristin Hammarstrom to be the goalkeeper’s spot.
A back injury kept frustrated Lundgren in Sweden’s 2013 Algarve Cup squad. The injury prevented Lundgren from playing any football for a period of one and a half seasons. She signed a contract with Damallsvenskan newly-comers Hammarby IF DFF in January 2015. In the early part of the 2016 season, Lundgren signed a one-year contract to Swedish Champions FC Rosengard. It was extended after Rosengard’s primary goalie Erin McLeod suffered an anterior ligament injury to her cruciate and Zecira Musovic was struggling to recover from an injured arm.
