Sibel Siber (nee Adademir) was born in Nicosia on the 13th of December, 1960. The father of Sibel, Altay Adademir, was a teacher at the primary school in Melouseia, a village in Melouseia located in the Larnaca District; her mother, Aysel Adademir, was an housewife from Klavdia, a village. Klavdia. She has a sibling. She was constantly moved between cities and villages throughout her youth because her father was assigned to various schools. She lived in Larnaca, Arsos and Klavdia and then moved to Tremetousia at the age of seven. She would later recall her most feared fear in the time of her childhood was traveling, since numerous Turkish Cypriots disappeared on the road and she would highlight the tranquil interactions among the different communities of the village that is mixed in Tremetousia. Her graduation was from Tremetousia Turkish Primary School and went on to an institution called the Nicosia Turkish Girls’ High School.

She met her husband, Dr. Rifat Siber an urologist, as she was an intern at the Doktor Burhan Nalbantoglu State Hospital following her graduation. The couple was married in 1984 and welcomed one of their own, daughter Sumer in the year 1985.

Siber had been admitted into Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty. Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty at Istanbul University when she was sixteen years old. This was at a point that student political issues were at their highest. She graduated from medical college and was enrolled as a doctor on April 5, 1983. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Sisli Etfal Hospital in 1987. Sisli Etfal Hospital in 1987 and returning to Cyprus and began work at her own private clinic. She graduated in 1989. was awarded an award of scholarship and completed her training in endocrinology and diabetes in the University of Virginia.

Sibel Siber (born 13 December , 1960) was an Turkish Cypriot politician. She was the Premier Secretary of Northern Cyprus between 13 June 2013, following the demise of government Irsen Kucuk following the vote of no confidence and until the 2nd of September, 2013. Siber was the first woman to be elected to the post. As of November 2015, Siber was the Speaker of Parliament, the Assembly of the Republic of Northern Cyprus. Siber is the only woman to hold this position, following Fatma Ekenoglu.

Her first article published in which she criticized the system of healthcare that was in place Northern Cyprus, was published in 1983 in the newspaper that had the most readership at that point.

On 19 April 2015, the first round of the election took place. She came in third out of seven candidates with 24,271 votes or 22.53% of total votes. The incumbent president, Derviş Eroğlu got the first place with 30,328 of the votes (28.15% of total votes), followed by former Deputy Prime Minister Mustafa Akıncı with 29,030 votes (26.94% of total votes). Siber was eliminated in the first round and Akıncı went on to win the election.
