Shuri Okuda (Ao Tian Zhu Li Okuda Shuri born 23rd November, 1989) is a Japanese professional wrestler. Training was provided under Meiko Satomura Okuda made her debut in the Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling promotion in 2006. In 2006, she began her career under her own name, as well as under her name of the ring Tyrannosaurus Okuda (teiranosaurusuAo Tian , Tiranosaurusu Okuda) . After 2009, Okuda left Sendai Girls’ and joined Team Makehen under the new name for the ring Basara (Yu Sha Luo , Basara) . In the aftermath of a one-year absence due to knee issue in march 2012 Okuda was a freelancer, and began working with promotions like Apache Pro-Wrestling Army, Universal Woman’s Pro Wrestling Reina and World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana under her real name.

On February 20, 2009 Okuda appeared at the Team Makehen event, announcing that she was a member of the group as an independent an individual member. Her private bookings were handled by the group’s director Tomohiko Hashimoto. Okuda’s move to the group caused the breakup of a relationship among Sendai Girls’ and Team Makehen; Io Shirai, Mio Shirai, and Mika Mizunuma appeared regularly with Sendai Girls’ in 2008 however, they were not booked by the company following their jump in the year 2009. Okuda joined forces with Ringstars professional magazine in order to begin an online contest to readers to suggest an alternative ring name for her. In April of this year, Okuda wrestled her first match in 10 months at the Team Makehen event, where she was working under the name Basara and Mikado, joined forces with Mikado to beat Bambi along with Mio Shirai during a tag team battle. Two months after, Team Makehen went inactive after the president Tomohiko Hashimoto was forced to resign his post following being charged with blackmail. On the 18th of July, Okuda suffered another concussion and was forced to cancel all her schedule appearances over the remainder of this year. As of December Team Makehen was dissolved which made Basara an independent freelancer.

Okuda began to become interested in professional wrestling in her school’s elementary class, when she went on a field trip to the All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) event, at which she was introduced to Taka Michinoku. After making the decision to pursue a career as a professional for herself Okuda thought about joining Michinoku’s Kaientai Dojo wrestling school, however, she decided to go to a dojo which was solely focused on training female, also known as joshi wrestlers. On the 2nd of October in 2005, Okuda participated in an audition by Meiko Satomura and was able to pass it. She was accepted into the initial training class for Satomura’s brand-new Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling promotion. She failed to win trying to challenge Kong to an Oz Academy Openweight Championship. On August 26th, Okuda began her first match in her first time in the JWP Joshi Puroresu promotion, joining forces alongside Ayana Mizumura, and Meiko Satomura for a six-woman tag team contest, in which they beat Arisa Nakajima Kaori Ohki, and Tsubasa Kuragaki.

In September 2007 the of the five Sendai Girls’ trainees were given new names for their ring to show their development. Sendai Girls’ co-founder Jinsei Shinzaki was awed by wrestlers such as Jaguar Yokota and Lioness Asuka and thought that Okuda was to be given the animal’s name the result was that she was named Tyrannosaurus Okuda. In her debut match under the new name on the 8th of September, Okuda teamed with Meiko Satomura for a loss against the team consisting of Ayako Hamada as well as Ayako Sato. Under her new title, Okuda started an interpromotional storyline competition alongside JWP’s best junior wrestler Arisa Nakajima. One of the first matches during the rivalry took place when Okuda and Nakajima pair up together with the respective coaches, Meiko Satomura as well as Azumi Hyuga in an e-wrestling match at the Sendai Girls’ event on the 5th of October, which was taken by the JWP pair. After this match Hyuga actually broke the orbital bone of Satomura by a running knee strike, leaving her out of action for more than a year. In the end, Satomura placed Okuda her best student as the new star of Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling. They lost to Arisa Nakajima Hanako Kobayashi, and Hiroyo Matsumoto. In February of 2008 Okuda was the main participant in a Sendai Girls’ event, losing to Aja Kong in an match-up to the Oz Academy encounter. On March 15th, Okuda made her third successful defense of the JWP Junior and POP Championships beating Aya Yuki. On April 20th, Okuda entered Sendai Girls the initial Jaja Uma competition, and defeated Ito Dojo representatives Hanako Kobayashi in her first round match. She then defeated free-lancer Kana during her round two match, on May 23rd. On June 8 Okuda was back at JWP and lost both the JWP Junior and POP Championships back to Arisa Nakajima in her 4th match.

Basara finally returned to the ring on April 29, 2010, at a Vader Time independent event. On June 5, she returned to the ring with Hiroyo Matsumoto, losing to her at a NEO Japan Ladies Pro Wrestling event. On July 4, Basara made her debut for Pro Wrestling Wave, when she and Bambi defeated Misaki Ohata and Moeka Haruhi for the TLW World Young Women’s Tag Team Championship. On August 5, Basara made a special appearance for All Japan Pro Wrestling, defeating Kyusei Ninja Ranmaru in a singles match. Two days later, Basara returned to JWP, wrestling in a match, where she was defeated by Leon. On September 26, Basara, Leon and Misaki Ohata formed the Shishi no Ana stable, with Basara now scheduled to become a regular member of the JWP roster. On October 31, Basara wrestled at a Yuzuki Aikawa produced Yuzupon Matsuri event, facing American Hailey Hatred. The match had to be ended abruptly, when Basara suffered a knee injury and was unable to continue. Okuda underwent surgery on April 8, 2011, and was sidelined from in-ring action for the entire year. She was originally scheduled to make her return at a Happy Hour!! event on December 18, but the return had to be postponed, when the event was canceled. On March 7, 2012, Okuda announced that she would wrestle her return match on March 25 at an event held by the Apache Pro-Wrestling Army promotion. On March 25, Basara was defeated by Taka Michinoku in her return match. On April 22, Basara made her debut for Universal Woman’s Pro Wrestling Reina at Reina 31, wrestling Saya to a ten-minute time limit draw and then challenging the promotion’s founder, Yumiko Hotta, to a match. Seven days later at Reina 32, Basara was defeated by Hotta. Following the match, Hotta suggested that Basara turn a new leaf in her career and return to competing under her real name. On May 13 at Reina.33, Okuda, now once again working under her real name, teamed with Saya in a tag team match, where they were defeated by Hikaru Shida and Tsukasa Fujimoto. Following the folding of Reina, most of the promotion’s roster remained together to form the new Reina X World promotion, but Okuda chose to follow Yumiko Hotta out and on May 22, the two, along with Saya, made their debut as a unit for the World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana promotion, interrupting a main event battle royal and starting an invasion storyline with the promotion. On June 25, Okuda was again sidelined, after suffering yet another knee injury while training. Okuda underwent two knee surgeries, first in August 2012 and the second in April 2013.
