In 2011 Darkangelo was awarded the gold medal for USA Hockey at the U18 IIHF Women’s World Championships. She won gold for America US in the Senior IIHF Women’s World Championships, winning 4 points in five games.
Darkangelo played in the 2015 season for the Connecticut Whale in the National Women’s Hockey League and was chosen to play as a player in the 1st NWHL All- Star Game. On July 31st, Darkangelo agreed to a single-year deal of $21,000 for the Buffalo Beauts. She was chosen to play as a player in the second NWHL All-Star Game in 2017.
