Shawn Slocum is one of the most popular and richest Coach who was born on February 21, 1965 in Monticello, Arkansas, United States. Richard Shawn Slocum (born February 21 1965) is an American football coach who was the special team manager for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League and is currently the Special Teams Coordinator/Associate Head Coach/Outside Linebackers’ Coach for Arizona State University.

On February 6, 2006 Slocum was hired by the Packers as the special teams assistant coach. Slocum was promoted to special team coordinator on January 14, 2009.

The Packers’ special teams units were ranked 12th in 2012 and 20th in 2013 by the Dallas Morning News.

On March 2, 2015, Slocum joined Todd Graham’s coaching staff at Arizona State University as associate head coach, special teams coordinator, and outside linebackers coach.

Slocum began the coaching profession as an assistant volunteer in Texas A&M, under his father R. C. Slocum. The year 1990 was the first time Shawn was a graduate assistant for the University of Pittsburgh, coaching the defense. He was back in the coaching position for Texas A&M, coaching tight lines, linebackers and the special team from 1991 until 1997. From 1991 until 1993 Slocum played a role in helping the Aggies achieve three straight Southwest Conference championships. In 1994 and 1997 Slocum coached two all-Americans: Shane Lechler and Lombardi Award winner Dat Nguyen. Both were drafted into the NFL. During his seven-season tenure as a coach at A&M and the Aggies, he helped the Aggies to win five bowl games, which included 4 Cotton Bowl Classic appearances. In all, the Aggie overall record for team was 94-28-2 during the period 1991-97. The 94 wins were sixth most in the nation, and the biggest victories by anyone from a Texas Division I school during any decade. From 1998 to 1999 Slocum was a coach for The University of Southern California, where he was the coach of Butkus Award winner Chris Claiborne, Zeke Moreno, and Markus Steele. He was back at A&M for another time and was a coach of Special and Secondary teams between 2000 and 2002. Then, in 2005, he was appointed the assistant head linebacker coach and coach Ole Miss, where he was the linebacker coach for star player Patrick Willis.

Born to Monticello, Arkansas, Slocum graduated from Bryan High School in Bryan, Texas in 1983 and was a student at Texas A&M University, where the football player was an outside linebacker.
