Shane Alan Deitz (born 4 May 1975) is an Australian official of the cricket and is the chief executive officer for Vanuatu Cricket. The coach was with Vanuatu Cricket from 2014 to 2019, and the playing coach in 2018. Vanuatu National Cricket team between 2014 until 2019 and was the team’s coaching coach for the team from 2018. He played in the first-class cricket with the Southern Redbacks as a left-handed top-order batsman, and occasionally a wicket-keeper.

He was in 2008 when he relocated into New Zealand to took up the position of a coach at Cricket Wellington. He was appointed as High Performance Manager, as well as the head coach of the Vanuatu national cricket team in 2014.

In January 2019 he retired as national coach to become CEO of Vanuatu Cricket. He was replaced as head coach by another Australian, Peter Buchanan.

In September 2019, he was named in Vanuatu’s squad for the 2019 Malaysia Cricket World Cup Challenge League A tournament.

He concluded his time with South Australia after the 2007/08 season, when he was of 33. He scored 3753 runs in first-class as well as an average of 30.76 in 66 games of first-class He also took eighty-nine catches and took six stumpings in his role as a backup wicket-keeper, when Graham Manou was unavailable.

Deitz had a bright junior career in the under-19 and under-17 age groups, representative for the New South Wales Blues. He was a member of his club the New South Wales 2nd XI early in his career . However, after failing to make it into the senior squad, Deitz relocated into South Australia where he made his debut in 1998-99.

Deitz was on and off the squad during the first period of his career but found his footing in the 2004-05 season. He was able to secure his place in the team for 2005/06 following his recall during the season prior and taking advantage of his opportunities by scoring numbers of 90 and 141. Although he did not perform well for the majority of the season, he did score 154 against the New South Wales cricket team in the month of March this was the most score of his career. He ended the season with 502 runs and 31.37.

At the age of 42, he made his international debut, top-scoring for Vanuatu in their opening two fixtures of the Division Four tournament. On 3 May 2018, he scored his maiden half- century, in Vanuatu’s fourth match of the tournament, against Bermuda. He was the leading run-scorer for Vanuatu in the tournament, with 164 runs in five matches.
