Shahrel Fikri is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on October 17, 1994 in Tawau, Malaysia. Muhammad Shahrel Fikri bin Md. Fauzi (born on 17th October, 1994) is a Malaysian professional footballer who plays for Perak in the Malaysia Super League and the Malaysia national team mostly as a left winger . However, he is also able to play as a forward.

On the 4th of August, 2017. Shahrel got called to the Malaysia national team’s central training starting on 14 August in preparation to play three friendly international games and the second match of Group B of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualification against Hong Kong on 5 September 2017.

Shahrel made his debut for Malaysia national team in a 1–2 friendly loss against Syria, replacing Syazwan Zainon for the final 23 minutes in Malacca, Malaysia. On 10 September 2018, Shahrel scored his first international goal in the match against Cambodia. Shahrel scored his first international hat-trick in the joint World Cup 2022 and Asia Cup 2023 qualifier match against Timor Leste on June 11, 2019.

Shahrel became the third Malaysian to play in the Thai League 1 in 2018, after he joined Nakhon Ratchasima on loan, on 25 June 2018. He made his debut for Nakhon Ratchasima in a 1–1 draw against Sukhothai on 30 June 2018. Shahrel scored his first goal in a League Cup tie against Ranong United, scoring the equaliser in 73rd minute of the match, the match finished 3–2.

Shahrel was signed up to Malaysia FAM League club PKNP FC in the year 2016 after joining from Perak the U-21 side. He made his debut in the league in a 0-0 draw in an away game against KDMM starting from the bench on February 28, 2016. First and 2nd goals scored by PKNP FC came from a 0-5 victory against PBMM on the 9th of March, 2017. Shahrel played 20 times and scored 13 goals during his debut season at PKNP FC.

The family was raised from Tawau, Sabah, but was raised within Sitiawan located in Manjung District, a district which is located about 80km northwest to Ipoh, Perak. Shahrel began his professional football career with Perak U-21 in 2013 as the team took part in the Malaysia President Cup and King’s Gold Cup. He scored 10 goals in his debut season, and have scored over 30 goals in 3 seasons in the Perak U-21 Perak U-21 team. Shahrel was also a part of the Perak State team in the 2013 Sukma Games hosted by Perlis. He scored two goals in the final during the final match, where Perak defeated Johor with a score of 3-1.

Shahrel was given a contract to play Harimau Muda in early 2014 , but he was unable to pass the medical exam because of a heart condition.

After the end of the 2017 domestic season, Shahrel rumoured to be on his way out of the club, in a surprising turn of events, the club has just announced that Shahrel have instead extended his contract with the team until 2020. A whole host of clubs have been linked with the signature of Shahrel including Perak, Terengganu and Johor Darul Ta’zim.
