Sergio Momesso is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on September 4, 1965 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Sergio Francesco Momesso (born September 4 1965 Montreal, Quebec) is an Italian-Canadian former professional hockey player who played 13 seasons playing in the National Hockey League between 1983 between 1983 and 1997.
After a lackluster initial season with St. Louis during which Momesso scored just 26 points over 53 games, the career of Momesso began to improve during 1989-90, when he got placed in a line alongside the world-class shooter Brett Hull and playmaking centre Adam Oates. In the course of his time playing on the Blues on the top of the lineup, Momesso turned in the most prolific year of his career scoring 22 goals and 32 assists to score 56 points with 200 penalty minutes. But he was unable to keep his spot on the front line in the years 1990-91 and scored only 10 goals in his first 59 games.
At the trade deadline in 1991, Momesso was dealt to the Vancouver Canucks in a monster six-player deal along with Geoff Courtnall, Cliff Ronning, and Robert Dirk for Garth Butcher and Dan Quinn. The deal would prove to be a heist in favour of Vancouver, as all four players they acquired would be significant contributors for several seasons. Momesso got his Canuck career off to a fine start, recording 6 goals in 11 games to help the team on a successful late- season push to qualify for the playoffs.
1993–94 would be a struggle for Momesso, as he struggled and finished with just 27 points, his lowest total since 1989, and was a target for substantial criticism from Vancouver fans and media. However, he redeemed himself in the 1994 playoffs, as his strong physical play on a line with Martin Gelinas and Nathan LaFayette was one of the catalysts for Vancouver’s run to the Stanley Cup Finals. Along the way, he scored what was probably the biggest goal of his career, an overtime winner against the Dallas Stars.
Momesso will play for another two seasons with Montreal but he never regained the performance of his rookie season, fighting injuries and causing frustration to the team by his inconsistent play. After the season of 1987-1988, he was traded with the St. Louis Blues in an exchange of multiple players.

Through his first two seasons in Vancouver, he played largely on a line with Jim Sandlak and his former St. Louis teammate Cliff Ronning, with the two large wingers used to create space for the diminutive Ronning.
