Sergei Boikov (born January 24 1997) was a Russian professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for HC Dynamo Moscow of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He was selected as the 161st pick in the 6th round from the Colorado Avalanche in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

With a desire to pursue an NHL professional career in the future, Boikov travelled from North America after he was selected at No. 90 from the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the second round of the 2013 CHL Import Draft. The three-year-old played in the Voltigeurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. After a first round exit in the post-season in the 2015-16 season Boikov concluded his junior career by signing a try-out contract for amateurs to the Avalanche’s AHL affiliate called known as the San Antonio Rampage, on April 6th in 2016. He was a part of four regular-season games for the Rampage to close out his season.

Despite the KHL rights being sold to Novokuznetsk with Salavat Yulaev Ufa, Boikov chose to remain as a player in North America after securing a three- year entry-level deal for Colorado Avalanche. Colorado Avalanche on May 27 the 27th of May, 2016. Following his attendance at an Avalanche practice camp, the player was assigned to the Rampage to start his professional debut in 2016-17. On the 3rd of November of 2016 he was assigned to an ECHL affiliate The Colorado Eagles, scoring his first goal for a professional team in seven game before turning back to San Antonio on November 22 the 22nd of November, 2016. Boikov confirmed his position as a blueliner through the course of the season. As the Rampage did not make it to the playoffs, he ended up scoring 16 points over 64 games. He was transferred to the Eagles to help them in their playoffs, and contributed to 10 points in 18 games, helping the team win the initial Kelly Cup.

Boikov played in junior hockey in his native country along with Kuznetskie Medvedi of the MHL during the season 2012-13. He was picked for selection by Metallurg Novokuznetsk in the third round, which placed him 88th overall during the 2012 KHL Junior Draft.
