Sebastian Boenisch is one of the most popular and richest Polish footballer who was born on February 1, 1987 in Gliwice, Poland. Sebastian Boenisch (Polish pronunciation: [se’bastjan’benis] German: [ze’bastian’bo:nISBorn 1 February 1987) (ne Pniowski [‘pnofskji] ) is a Polish professional footballer who plays right-back in the club SC Wiener Neustadt.
On November 14, in 2006 Boenisch received a call-up by the German under-20 squad to play for the very first time. He was given his first cap with the team with a 4-1 win against Austria.
Boenisch started his football career by joining SSVG 09/12 Heiligenhaus. He then moved to different clubs like Borussia Velbert and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen before joining Schalke 04 at age sixteen and signing a professional contract with the club in January 2006. After three years at the club’s reserve, Boenisch made his professional debut for Schalke 04 on 11 February 2006, coming on as a substitute in the 86th minute, in a 7–4 home win against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. A few weeks later, Boenisch was featured in the first team again in a 2–1 win against Espanyol in the UEFA Cup.
On 1 September 2007, he moved to Werder Bremen on an undisclosed fee, believed to be around €3 million and signed a four-year deal that would last until

At the same time, in the under-20 squad, Boenisch was called up by the German under-21 squad in November of 2006 and made his debut for the under-21 team with a 2-0 victory against Scotland U21. The Polish-born player was unsure if he wanted to represent Poland and Germany. Then, there was a rumor that Boenisch might receive a phone call-up by Leo Beenhakker for the match against Greece but he wasn’t included on the official list of call ups. Boenisch declared that he wasn’t looking to play for Poland any longer and was focused on his German U-21 squad. He was in 2009 the European Under-21 Championship with Germany.

Boenisch is a native of Gliwice within Upper Silesia. He was a great- grandfather who was German descent. He moved to Germany with his family. Following some time in Dortmund and then in Heiligenhaus, the family moved to Heiligenhaus within Niederbergisches Land in Bergisches Land in North Rhine- Westphalia. Boenisch used to have the surname Pniowski prior to the change of family name the name to Boenisch due to the fact that his father was not allowed to get work because of the Polish surname. Although he was born in Poland however, he is not proficient in Polish and also speaks German as well as Silesian. He went to in the Gesamtschule Berger Feld.
After previously being with Natalia, Boenisch was engaged to Tatjana Batinic, Tatjana Batinic, the 2006 Miss Austria. The couple first met in the latter half of 2009 and began to get together. For the next two seasons, Boenisch was never considered for the first team, having spent time playing for the reserve and being an un-used substitute in the first team. Towards the end of the 2006–07 season, he signed a new deal at Schalke, that would have kept him until 2010. However, two months later after signing a new contract, Boenisch had enough of being left out of the club’s starting lineup and announced his intention to leave the club.
