Sean Gregan is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on March 29, 1974 in Guisborough, England, United Kingdom. Sean Matthew Gregan (born 29 March 1974) is an English former professional footballer who was the position of a midfielder and a centre back.

Gregan quit Leeds on the 5th of January, 2007 after having reached an agreement on the remaining term of his contract. He signed a two-and-a half- year contract with Oldham just three days later. His performance in the victory 3-0 against Walsall on the 22nd of September 2007 earned him spot as a member of the League One Team of the Week.

Oldham player-manager Paul Dickov stated in October 2010 that he would allow Gregan to leave the club, after he was unable to force his way into the team following an injury at the beginning of the 2010–11 season. Gregan joined Conference Premier club Fleetwood Town on 19 October 2010 on a three-month loan. He left Oldham on 6 January 2011 after having his contract terminated before signing for Fleetwood permanently. He was released at the end of 2010–11.

Gregan signed for Northern Premier League Premier Division club Kendal Town on 10 August 2011. He made his debut three days later when starting a 3–0 home win over Worksop Town. He suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon on his second appearance on 21 August 2011 against Matlock Town.

The absence of first-team football during the season 2006-07 resulted in Gregan being sent to loan on November 8, 2006 . He was sent to Oldham Athletic of League One until January 1st, 2007. He scored three days later in his debut, scoring in an 4-3 win against Kettering Town in the FA Cup.

Gregan is a native of Guisborough, North Yorkshire. He began his professional career with Darlington’s youth squad, prior to signing an official contract on the 20th of January in 1991. He was a player for the club for five years prior to signing with Preston North End. The club signed him by Gary Peters on 29 November 1996 for a fee of PS350,000. He was captain of Preston in the pursuit of win the Second Division title.

Gregan signed with the newly launched Premier League club West Bromwich Albion on the 3rd of August, 2002 under a four-year contract for PS2 million. The pundit Rodney Marsh thought the signing was uninspiring, and said the signing was “like putting lipstick on a pig”. Gregan first made an appearance with Manchester United at Old Trafford on the 17th of August 2002. He scored his debut score for his club during a 1-1 victory at home against Southampton on the 14th of September, 2002, when goalkeeper Paul Jones failed to hold the shot of Gregan’s 40 yards. Although he was a regular player in his team Gregan did not manage to stop the club’s demotion out of into the Premier League. In 2003-2004, he was instrumental in leading the team back into the Premier League at the first attempt, and then signing with Leeds United in September 2004.

He was released by Oldham manager Dave Penney after being deemed surplus to requirements on 12 May 2009. However, Penney had a change of heart after being impressed with the player’s attitude and fitness levels, and he was soon brought back to the club on a one-year contract. He was later made captain of the team and remained a key feature in defence alongside Reuben Hazell.
