Scott Lindsey (born 4 May 1972) is a famous English former professional footballer. He was a midfielder for the Football League for Gillingham and is currently the assistant manager of Forest Green Rovers. He is the father of footballer Keith Lindsey.

In January 2006, he signed for Maidstone United debuting in the 2-0 Kentish Observer Football League Cup Group C victory over VCD Athletic on 24 January 2006. The club joined Sittingbourne at the beginning of March and made his debut as a substitute for the second half of the 1-1 Isthmian League Division One South home loss to Croydon Athletic on 8 March 2008. Then, in June of 2008, he joined Folkestone Invicta as a coach and also signed as the player mostly as the cover. The club was closed in January 2009 to take on the role of technical development coach at Gillingham in charge of to establish Development Centres throughout Kent for the youngest children, and also working in Gillingham’s Centre of Excellence in Canterbury starting with the Under 9s until the under 16s. After his appointment as manager of Chris Sutton as manager of Lincoln City at the end of September 2009, Lindsey was appointed first-team coach for the club. On the 18th of May, 2011, the coach left Sincil Bank with his contract being terminated with mutual consent following the club’s removal to The Football League.

He was a player for Canvey Island, scoring his first goal for the club in the 3-1 Isthmian League First Division home victory against Wembley on the 23rd of January, 1999. He was released in September of 1999 and becoming a member of Gravesend & Northfleet where he was a part-time player until the 2001-2002 season at Welling United. In July 2002, he signed with Folkestone Invicta, making his 100th appearance with the team in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round Replay in the home match against Harrow Borough on 5 October 2004.

He was a part of Tamworth on the first day of the 1-1 Southern Football League Midland division victory against Evesham United on 30 August 1993. The player made 22 appearances for Tamworth and 14 of them in the Southern Football League, before going home after one last appearance in the role of a sub the 2-1 victory in the home league against Leicester United on 4 December 1993. He then joined Bridlington Town before signing for Gillingham in July 1994.
