Sarah Monahan (born 12 April 1977) is an Australian former child actor. Most well- known for her performance in the role of Jenny Kelly on Hey Dad ..!, she also appeared on Sons and Daughters and Home and Away.

In 2011 Monahan became a part of Monahan joined the Texas State Guard Medical Brigade which is a division belonging to the Texas Military Forces whose focus is on humanitarian efforts.

Hughes was arrested in London on 9 August 2012. His extradition to Australia was approved on 28 September 2012. In early April 2014, Hughes was found guilty of sexually abusing young girls.

Monahan tried out for the part as Jenny as Jenny Hey Dad..! when she was just six. Although the producers were seeking an actress younger than her and her petite size at the time and being able to understand script, allowed her win the role. After the pilot was shot, she filmed a few minutes working on Australian soap drama Sons and Daughters, playing the character in the role of Cassie Hunt in 24 episodes which first aired in the early part of 1986. The actress returned to filming Hey Dad..! that year and remained on Hey Dad..! for six more years, ending her stint in 1993 prior to the end of the show. The show became her primary source of income for her family after her father died shortly before the show …! debuted.

During an interview aired on A Current Affair in March 2011, Monahan expressed her concerns that charges may not be laid against Hughes. She stated that she intended to initiate legal actions against Hughes and television executives who, she claimed, were aware of Hughes’ alleged actions and failed to take action. After her allegations in the media, Braveheart, a sexual assault advocacy group, asked Monahan to become an ambassador.
