Sanne Cant (born 8 October 1990) is a Belgian cycling athlete who competes in cyclocross for the UCI Cyclocross team IKO-Crelan as well as in road cycling for the UCI Women’s Continental team Ciclismo Mundial. Her cousin Loes Sels, also from Belgium is professional cyclist.
The summer season of 2010, Cant chose to not be limited to mountain bike events and focused solely on road racing. She also won the Belgian national cyclocross championships.
After the 2012–2013 season Cant combined road cycling with cyclo-cross. She finished 7th at the Belgian road championships and took silver for the second time at the Belgian mountain bike championships. Cant’s winter began two weeks earlier than normal. She rode and won the Supercross Baden in Switzerland. Two weeks later she won the Grand Prix Neerpelt then also won in Laarne. In November she won the Fair Cross Niel, the GP Hasselt and Cyclocross Asper- Gavere. In early 2014 she again became national champion for the fifth time in a row.
In preparation for the 2012–2013 season Cant decided to compete in mountain biking alongside road races. This cyclocross season saw Cant’s breakthrough. She started with a number of victories, she won in Kalmthout and in Zonhoven. She continued her momentum and won in Leuven, Essen and Loenhout. During the Roubaix world cup race Cant fell heavily on a muddy descent with American racer Katherine Compton. Cant was taken to the hospital, where it turned out that she had no serious injuries. On 13 January, she won her fourth consecutive Belgian championship. After the World championships Cant won several competitions such, Hoogstraten, Oostmalle and even the best in the general classification in the Bpost bank trophy.
Her first professional season was in 2008-2009 when she was racing for her team Italian Guerciotti team of the Italia region. Her first podium finish in an important competition was 3rd place in the cyclocross in Gavere. In the following month she won her first win at the race at Fae di Oderzo. Beginning on January 1, 2009 Cant joined BKCP Powerplus. It is the club of Niels Albert.

When she was a child, Cant participated in both duathlon and athletics. The year 2002 was when she began cycling, with a focus on mountain biking and cyclocross. The first time she started of cycling, she was able to win the provincial championship at age 12. Both in 2003 and 2004 she repeated the feat. In 2004 Cant made her first major win by being named Belgian champ in the 14-year old category. Then she moved into the category of youth, and continued her winning streak for provincial titles as well as securing her first youth MTB title. In 2006, expectation was high, and she was able to win a provincial title and the first title at national level.
In preparation for 2009-2010, she raced numerous MTB races and was again taking home in the Belgian championship. The following cyclocross season began very well for Cant. She was 4th in the Citadel Cross. In the following season she was awarded the Belgian Cyclo-cross championship.
During the summer of 2011 Cant signed a contract with the Young Telenet-Fidea team, despite the signed contract extension Cant at BKCP-Powerplus. In September 2013 she was awarded a fine of 30,000 euros from the UCI. She rode consistently that season, with her best results being her two 2nd places in the Scheldecross and the Grapes Cross. In January 2012 she took a 3rd Belgian title as well as the bronze at the World Championships at home in Koksijde.
