Sacinandana Swami, a well-known ISKCON member for his kirtana practice and public speaking skills, is well-respected throughout the organization. He is a prolific teacher and writer on Vaishnavism, Hare Krishna movements and has translated the Bhagavadgita into German. His books include The Nectarean Ocean of the Holy Name and The Gayatri Book. He also wrote The Way of the Great Departure, The Art of Transformation and Spiritual Tonic.

Sacinandana Swami, then 16, set out to introduce himself to Hare Krishna in Germany. He began the journey of learning, teaching, and travel that he continues to this very day. He was an initiating Guru in ISKCON in 1987 and took sannyasa in 1989. Sacinandana Swami made many pilgrimages to holy sites in India. He often traveled to Vrindavan to receive intensive ‘japa’ retreats. During his travels, he also visited Badrinath and Kedarnath as well as Gangotri, Mount Kailash Ahobilam Srirangam, Melukote and Tirupati.
