Ryan Riddle is the grandchild of John RIddle, a former Trojan fullback at USC, and Helen Wheeler. John Riddle was the Trojan’s first to score four touchdowns in a single game. In addition, he and Bryce Taylor (USC) were the first African Americans to face a southern college team in 1924. Helen Wheeler, the first African American woman to graduate from USC Law School, was the first African American woman.

Ryan Riddle was a California student and was a two year letterman in football. He set a school record for senior year with 14.5 sacks and 49 tackles. Riddle was voted the Defensive MVP by his teammates and selected by the Associated Press as a second-team All-American.

Riddle was signed by the Calgary Stampeders on February 27, 2009, but was released shortly after.

He was El Camino’s second-year team MVP and received a scholarship to the University of California. He was third-team JC All-American at El Camino. He had 12 sacks and three blocked field goals. He was also selected by the California Community College Coaches Association/JC Athletic Bureau to the 2002 All-Region IV Team and named first-team All-Northern Division.

Ryan Riddle, born July 5, 1981, is an ex-professional American, Canadian, and Arena football defensive player. The Oakland Raiders selected him as a linebacker with the 38th round (212th overall) in 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football for the University of California, Berkeley.

Ryan Riddle was a student at Culver city High School in Culver, California. He was Culver City’s Most Improved player, an All-Area honoree and led the Bay League’s 17 sacks as a junior. He was named the team’s Most Valuable Player and All-Bay League First Team Honoree as a senior. His senior season saw seven sacks and three blocked field goals. He also had 125 tackles. Ryan Riddle graduated in 1999 from Culver city high school. After a two year hiatus in football and declining scholarship offers from many colleges, Riddle decided to continue his education at El Camino College.

Riddle was selected in the sixth round (212th overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. In September 2006, Riddle was cut by the Raiders. He signed with the New York Jets’ active roster on September 27, 2006. He was released on December 16, 2006, and later signed on with the Atlanta Falcons. In August 2007, Riddle signed with the Baltimore Ravens, but was waived prior to the beginning of the 2007 regular season, despite a 2 sack performance against the Falcons.
