He is a New South Wales State of Origin forward representative and previously played in NRL for the Canberra Raiders as well as the Wests Tigers. He is a prop.
O’Hara later joined The Entrance Tigers at the Ron Massey Cup and co-captained them to victory in the grand final.
O’Hara left NRL in 2008 to join the Super League for Crusaders. O’Hara spent three seasons with the club before joining Hull KR. O’Hara was a Hull player for 15 games in 2012. However, he sustained an Achilles tendon injury during the 2013 pre-season. He was out for at least six months and did not make any further appearances for the club. O’Hara stated that he had enjoyed five good seasons in England and Wales during his time at Lezignan Sangliers. Because of my injuries, the two years I spent here at Hull KR were very upsetting. It’s not my fault.

O’Hara, a Hunter Mariners junior, made his NRL debut in 2001 as a 20 year-old. He won the Canberra Raiders’ rookie of the year award in 2001. O’Hara made his debut as a representative for Country in the 2003 City v Country Origin match. He was then selected to represent New South Wales at Game I of the 2004 State of Origin series. He played in 92 games in his four first seasons with Raiders. However, he only made three appearances in 2005.
O’Hara was a 2005 NRL premiership-winning Wests Tigers player. He first played for them in 2006 World Club Challenge defeat to the Bradford Bulls in England. Tim Sheens bought O’Hara to increase the size of the Wests Tigers pack. He played in 22 games in his first grade season in 2006. He was one of the worst NRL buys ever, with only eight appearances over the next two seasons. After winning four straight games in 2007, he suffered a broken jaw. He was able to return to lower grades at the end of the season before his jaw broke again at the beginning of 2008. He didn’t return back to first grade until round 22.
